How did you get into kiting?

I started back in january 2006, a friend said it would be a good way to get rid of the hangover from new years eve, we went to the beach the next day and attempted to fly a kite in no wind.

Favourite conditions?

25 - 30 mph onshore at the beach, its days like that that make it all worth while.

up in the hills it has to be a nice 15mph cross on, its a whole diffrent type of flying up there.

Favourite equipment?

My Scrub GLD and the HQ Montana V 9.5m

the new board is a massive step in a whole new direction, its a sweet ride and there is some nice attention to deatail that makes all the diffrence.

Favourite Trick?

Its always about the old school, if you do a really technical trick 6 foot off the floor and then someone comes along floating over head doing big extended foot out, the foot out wins every time in my books

What trick are you learning currently?

Im not sure really on one specific trick, my riding has always been along the smae style, laid back. Its nice to crack out something totally new but if you can do something with a smoothness and bags of style then then its always going to look and feel good. aggressive stuff may score big but tewaking things or dropping a seccond lazy grab and half a rotation into something and making it look like it was a natural flow from the last trick is always something im working on.

Riding for scrub - what is the best thing about being on the team?

Its nice to be able to give feed back on a product and know its going to be listend to.

Do you have any other hobbies when your not kiteboarding? 

Im just getting into kitesurfing but ive just had my first child, a little baby girl called molly. I guess you could class that as a hobby? A project if nothing else.

I play a little guitar, not a small one mind but i mean i can strum a song or two just about.

Id like to say im a semi professional shark wrestler but that would be a slight exsuraduration from catching a fish once from my parents fish tank with my hands.
